Dr. Julie D. Ries, PT, has extensive physical therapy clinical experience in acute care, home care, and neurological rehabilitation. She is an Associate Professor at Marymount University in Arlington, VA and continues to be active in regular clinical practice. She has a BS in PT from Quinnipiac College, an MA in Education & Human Development from George Washington University, and a PhD in Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. Her publications, in the form of book chapters and journal articles, span the content areas of prosthetic training, rehabilitation of patients with neurological disease, constraint induced movement therapy to enhance upper extremity function in children with cerebral palsy, and outcome measures and balance training in individuals with Alzheimer’s disease.
