The University of Montana, partnering with Rehab Essentials, provides the education you desire that delivers the knowledge you need presented by the content-experts in their field.  Each program has been carefully designed to provide the working professional the valuable knowledge that will improve their ability to provide quality healthcare to their patients and community.  

There are many barriers that are difficult to overcome when considering returning to education.  Each program is set up to allow a life balance between work, family, and school.   Each program is offered online, allowing students to complete course material on their time during the semester.

Deadlines

Applications for the Fall 2017 open February 1st

All completed applications must be postmarked by August 6th

Fall 2017 semester runs August 28th – December 10th

Applications are reviewed and acted upon following the receipt of all documents. Space is limited in each program and there typically is a waitlist. Any applications received after the postmark date will be considered for the following cohort.

UMT Health Professional Offerings


Transitional DPT Degree

2 curricular pathways. 1 degree.

For: Actively practicing physical therapists, faculty or administrators holding a bachelor’s or master’s degree in PT, that wish to advance to the doctorate degree


Rehabilitation Administration Certificate

7 courses. 13 credits. 1 year.

For: Health professionals looking to advance to an administrative position. Can be taken in conjunction with the tDPT program. Bachelor’s degree required.


Lifestyle Intervention Health Certificate

6 courses. 12 credits. 1 year.

For: Health professionals looking to become a certified specialist in one of the fastest growing movements to revolutionize healthcare.  Lifestyle Medicine integrates evidence-based social science, functional medicine, and primary prevention interventions to lower costs, improve health outcomes, and enhance well-being. Bachelor’s degree required.
