Dr. Wruble also serves as faculty in the joint acute care residency between Johns Hopkins Hospital and the University of Delaware. Further, Dr. Wruble Hakim is a certified wound specialist and a Fellow in the American College of Certified Wound Specialists. Dr. Wruble Hakim publishes and presents in areas of acute care, wound care, pharmacology, clinical education, and student assessment. She is the 6th recipient of the Acute Care Lecture Award and has been honored for both teaching excellence and mentorship from the Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society. She is an original member of the Acute Care Section’s Subject Matter Expert committee on the pathway to developing clinical specialization in acute care, and is a co-author of the Analysis of Practice that was published in 2010 in Physical Therapy. Dr. Wruble is active within the APTA and was appointed to the Education Leadership Parternship’s Ad Hoc Committee on Clinical Education to disseminate and solicit feedback on the Best Practices for Physical Therapist Clinical Education Task Force Report. Dr. Wruble Hakim’s clinical practice has predominated within the academic medical center.
