The University of Montana is proud to collaborate with Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation School of Physical Therapy and Rehab Essentials to bring an 18-month accelerated Bachelor's to post professional Doctorate of Physical Therapy (tDPT) program to students residing in the Philippines. The University of Montana understands there is a discrepancy in cost of living and salaries in the PT profession internationally. Recognizing this, the University of Montana accommodates and provides access to an affordable pathway for physical therapists residing in the Philippines to acquire a DPT at a cost that is proportional to the market differential between the US and the Philippines. Our accelerated post professional BS to DPT program is 100% online, budget-friendly, and the fastest path to earn your Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Montana. For five semesters, you'll immerse yourself in the rigorous curriculum, learn from expert faculty, build competitive experience, and gain important insight that will help you throughout your career. Plus, the University of Montana is institutionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).
The University of Montana’s post professional Transitional DPT program (tDPT) program, provides a critical career advancement pathway for therapists trained at foreign Universities. The innovative, world-class curriculum is taught by the best and brightest faculty. The contemporary 100% asynchronous online format engages you from virtually anywhere.
You have 24/7 online access to your courses and assignments when you are ready from virtually anywhere. Courses can be viewed and reviewed anytime within the semester. Deadlines and key dates for assignments, quizzes and exams are easily found in the course dashboard to keep you on track. And all with a budget-friendly tuition.
With this collaboration, a Filipino PT that resides within the Philippines can apply and enroll in the transitional Doctor in Physical Therapy (tDPT) program at the University of Montana. As long as the applicant meets the requirements set forth, they may matriculate through the tDPT curriculum towards the end goal attaining their DPT. The total cost of the program is still the same (30 credits at $250 per credit) but enrolled students will be taking an average of 6-8 credits per semester.
This track is for foreign trained therapists looking to attain a DPT and to either meet license requirements or continue to practice in their native country. All courses taken through this program are graduate level courses. While the tDPT coursework will assist toward the fulfillment of the educational requirements toward US licensure, it does not guarantee a US license. All physical therapists seeking US PT licensure should follow all steps outlined by the FSBPT
