Kristin Winston

PhD, OTR/L, FAOTA

Dr. Winston is an occupational therapist with more than 35 years of clinical experience, specializing in pediatrics. She has dedicated her career to supporting children from birth to age five and their families, with a focus on feeding and eating challenges. Her expertise also extends to working with individuals across the lifespan with neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy and stroke.

For the past 20 years, Dr. Winston has taught in academic settings, leading courses in occupational analysis, theory, pediatrics, and leadership. She is actively engaged in professional service at both the state and national levels through the Maine Occupational Therapy Association, the American Occupational Therapy Association, and the Society for the Study of Occupation.

Dr. Winston’s research and scholarly work reflect her deep commitment to advancing occupational therapy practice and education. Her publications span topics such as pediatric feeding interventions, occupational analysis, leadership in occupational therapy, interprofessional education, and caregiver training. She is co-author of An Occupational Perspective on Leadership: Theoretical and Practical Dimensions.
