Philippines-Based BS to DPT

Receive Your Transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy in Just Over a Year The University of Montana is proud to collaborate with Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation School of Physical Therapy and Rehab Essentials to bring an accelerated tDPT to Philippines-based students.  Our five semester tDPT program is your fastest path to your UM Doctorate of Physical Therapy. It is designed to build upon your physical therapy fundamentals and get you back in the workforce equipped with new skills and knowledge that will propel your career forward. For five semesters, you'll immerse yourself in the rigorous curriculum, learn from world-class content experts and build competitive experience and gain important insight that will help you throughout your career.

This curriculum pathway will allow any Philippines-based BS-tDPT student to complete their transition to a DPT in five semesters versus the current seven semester track. The total cost of the program is still the same (30 credits at $250 per credit) but enrolled students will be taking an average of 6-8 credits per semester.

A World-Class Program with Dr. Reed Humphrey and Dr. Jonathan Scheeler.

Assisting to Advance Filipino PT and Healthcare

With this collaboration, a Filipino PT that resides within the Philippines can apply and enroll in the transitional Doctor in Physical Therapy (tDPT) program at the University of Montana. As long as the applicant meets the requirements set forth, they may matriculate through the tDPT curriculum towards the end goal attaining their DPT. All courses taken through this program are graduate level courses. While the tDPT coursework will assist toward the fulfillment of the educational requirements toward US licensure, it does not guarantee a US license. All Filipino PT’s seeking US PT licensure, must comply with all steps outlined by the FSBPT.
