Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy

Philippines Licensed tDPT

The University of Montana is proud to partner with Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation School of Physical Therapy and Rehab Essentials to bring a transitional Doctorate of Physical Therapy program to Philippines-based students.  The University of Montana understands there is a discrepancy in cost of living and salaries in the PT profession internationally.  Recognizing this, the University of Montana accommodates and provides access to an affordable pathway for PT’s residing in the Philippines to acquire a DPT at a cost that is proportional to the market differential between the US and the Philippines.

A World-Class Program with Dr. Steve Tepper.

Earn an Advanced Degree from an Accredited University

The innovative, world-class curriculum is taught by the best and brightest faculty. The contemporary online format engages you from virtually anywhere, when you are ready, on your schedule and at your pace.  Plus, as a student, you will have direct access to these expert faculty and to a diverse, experienced peer group.

All but one course is online. Each course within the curriculum is designed to advance critical thinking to the doctorate level while building on clinical skills.

Elevating the Profession

As the saying goes, “a rising tide lifts all boats.” The UM tDPT program provides a critical career advancement pathway for therapists trained at Universities in the Philippines. Filipino physical therapists residing in the Philippines, faculty, or administrators holding a bachelor’s degree from a Filipino PT school can enroll to attain a DPT but continue to practice in the Philippines.  Plus, the University of Montana is institutionally accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU).

While the tDPT coursework will assist toward the fulfillment of the educational requirements toward US licensure, it does not guarantee a US license. All Filipino PT’s seeking US PT licensure, must comply with all steps outlined by the FSBPT.
